Wasn’t New Line enough? Picturehouse and Warner Independent Pictures have joined New Line in Film Studio Heaven. On Thursday both got dissolved as Time Warner cites “cost savings and elimination of redundancies” as the reason. You can read the whole article here.
Might as well. Talks between SAG and studios have halted once again as studios claim SAG is asking too much in regards to dvd sales, among other things. Does this sound familiar? I guess we should prepare ourselves for more Deal or No Deal Around the World as you won’t be running to the theaters this go round. As long as I get to see 24 Day 7 come January after waiting since May 2007, things are fine. This year is shaping up to be a good one.

Speed Racer is next out the gate along with What Happens in Vegas staring Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. Can I predict another great weekend for Iron Man? Click here for Trendy’s Speed Racer highlight in Trendy Reel’s Summer Movies Feature. Trailers are below.

On newsstands tomorrow, Entertainment Weekly is providing the first photos of Oliver Stone’s “W” staring Josh Brolin as George W. Bush and Elizibeth Banks as his wife Laura. This is Stone’s third film about a president. Remember the controversy of his JFK movie back in the 90s? I am sure this one will cause a stir. Can’t wait. You can catch “W” in theaters next year.
