Which ones will you be seeing this weekend?

Wanted

Wall-E

If you missed the live show Tuesday night, it re-airs tonight @ 8 p.m. on B.E.T.

In almost particular order: (I am not hating, just telling like it is.)

Usher, what happened? Looks like Chris Brown stole your music career. Weezy probably saw your rehearsal and told B that they need to skip doing Love in the Club Part II. I’ll get back to Chris Brown later.

D.L. Hughley was so random with his jokes, that it made them unfunny. Just make Monique a permanent host.

Terrence Howard, no offense but you looked creepy. A man with a guitar is suppose to make the ladies swoon not run in the opposite direction. I am concerned for you upcoming album sales but I think I have come to the conclusion you are just creepy in general. Baby wipes anyone.

There I was all proud that Keisha Cole was finally doing a classy performance gown and all. Then Keisha goes and rips off the sheet and starts to channel Mary J circa Real Love. When that wasn’t enough Lil’ Kim comes out and the whole thing really goes south. It looked and SOUNDED like amateur night at the Apollo Theater. Hot mess.

Maybe Kanye brought Weezy up because he knew he shouldn’t have won. Yeah I think that it’s.

The best thing about Neyo’s performance was the Jambawakes , not Neyo.

RIP Pimp C. I was scared of your wife through the T.V. Congrats UGK.

T-pain should release a greatest featuring T-Pain album because that is basically what he performed. Best part was Big Boi and Ludacris. Yeah I know he produced all the songs too, but let me have my fun.

Oh yeah Rick Ross, zip it up. No one wanted to see that. One more thing, why do you have your whole face on a gold chain? Isn’t that heavy. Flo Rida was no better with the whole state of Florida gold plated.

Niecy Nash, you wrong for that.

Maybe someone should have called child protective services because something seemed wrong to have Keisha gyrating to Chris Brown. Didn’t Rihanna look uncomfortable when Ciara hit the stage? I thought they were just friends. Maybe Chris doesn’t know because he knew and was singing along when Rih hit the stage. Oh note to Chris. How can you be out of breath singing a slow song? Usher might just have a chance to reclaim is career from you.

Al Green was the best performance of the show. He had a flash back to his hey days and turned it out.

Hi Maxwell! What rock did they get you from under? Missed ya.

Nelly. We are in 2008 not 2004. Fergie was your saving grace.

Weezy closing out the show was great, but the ending was weird. Weezy’s album sold over a miliion in it’s first week, so his ending can be weird if that is the way he wanted it to be.

Just when you thought it was safe again in Hollywood.  Writers still dusting off the last remnants from their strike might have some extra time on their hands to pen some scripts.  This time it’s Actors vs. Actors vs. Producers.  Isn’t it lovely?!  The Screen Actors Guild contract with AMPTP ends this upcoming Monday June 30th. Things looked picture perfect for an easy renewal of contracts until the world imploded and the usually friendly unions decided to not be friendly anymore.  SAG and AFTRA usually go into negation talks together, but not this time.  Who would have thunk of two strikes in one year?  SAG is not happy with the contract that AFTRA want to agree on. Now we are down to actors having to picking sides, do they do with AFTRA or SAG?  There is literally a list of who is supporting who; from Tom Hanks to Ben Stiller, to yesterday Sir George Clooney himself penning a letter.  Studios have been preparing for this day, even though none probably thought it would actually come down to this.  Mostly all productions that are in the filming stage were scheduled in advance to have completed production by Monday.  SAG however has the option to extend their contract temporarily until AFTRA votes on July 8th.  No word yet if that will happen, but it doesn’t look that way.  What a way to go in an almost perfect Summer Movie Season.  I guess next month the paparazzi will have a field day capturing out of work actors wandering about the globe on extended vacations because they have nothing else to do.  Oh what a summer it will be.

1. Get Smart came in on top this weekend.
2. Love Guru came in… 4th. What an upset.

Come on you know you didn’t expect a Mike Myers film to open so badly. Maybe everyone still sees him as a Ogre.

Despite bad reviews I still think Mike Myer’s as the Love Guru is still a must see this weekend. It has a little competition with Get Smart staring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway.

Love Guru

Get Smart

This weekend brings us The Hulk and The Happening. The Hulk stars Edward Norton who replace the original actor Eric Bana and The Happening staring Marky Mark Mark Wahlberg. It’s about time we are do another M. Knight Shyamalan film. Trailers below.

The Happening

The Incredible Hulk

News hit today that The Exchange/Changeling directed by Clint Eastwood and staring Angelina Jolie has now an official release date of October 24th. Now what other movie is being released that same day? Oh yeah that’s right a little movie call High School Musical and *gasp* He’s Not That Into You staring Angelina’s arch gossip fodder rival Jennifer Aniston along with Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly among others. How smart is that of Universal to drum up some publicity for their film that to through more wood to the already big fire that is Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. Maybe, just maybe, Warner Bros. who is now commendering the movie since they bought and dissolved it’s original distributor, got together to try to knock out that Disney juggernaut? So now all eyes are on which film will fare better on the box office charts. Us Weekly even has a poll asking. Who cares. Niether will be number uno that week as High School Musical 3: Senior Year hits theaters that same weekend. Disney will just laugh their way all the way to the bank. “What team? Wildcats!”

Below is the trailer He’s Just Not That Into You and a clip from The Exchange. HSM3 and The Exchange does not have trailers yet. All movies opening October 24, 2008.

The Exchange

Yesterday, internet blogs went wild with news that Courteney Cox’s show on the FX Channel, Dirt, was not returning for a third season. It seemed that is was one of the causalities of the writer’s strike from the beginning of the year. Courteney herself broke the news. Problems is FX didn’t know. Emily Yahr from the Washington Post contacted the network asking them about the cancellation.

That has not been made official

Washington Post, Style Section C7, The TV Column.  Print Edition 6/10/2008

That was the answer from the network. Maybe Courteney and her husband David Arquette, who was a producer of the show, were through with Dirt and that was their way of letting the network know. They are both very talented actors/producers so I am sure they will be just fine in whatever future endevours they have.

Just wanted to say thank you the few, very few people that do come check out this blog. It’s hard when you are posting as a secondary source, but it’s not about the numbers that seem to consume those of the celebrity gossip blogging genre. It is just nice to be able to come and blog about something that I love and do it as a hobby. It’s been over a year and I can not believe I am still at it. Again thanks, and happy web surfing!
