The 80th Academy Awards is in less than a day away and Trendy will be blogging the Oscars as it happens. Know the winners the minute they are announced. This is a huge decision as for the past 14 years, the Oscars and the Vanity Fair party has gone hand in hand with each other. There will be nonetheless alot more to go to that night. There has been word floating around that the strike could be ending in a matter of a week, so this suprises me that VF didn’t hold out to see what comes of that.
Press Announcement: Vanity Fair Cancels Oscar Party
After much consideration, and in support of the writers and everyone else affected by this strike, we have decided that this is not the appropriate year to hold our annual Oscar party. We want to congratulate all of this year’s nominees and we look forward to hosting our 15th Oscar party next year.
